Delta 8 Half-life

The biological delta 8 half-li fe  for the slower phases varied between 32 to 12 and 6 minutes for delta 8-THC, 11OHdelta 8THC, and 11-oxo-delta 8THC. 11-OH- and 11oxo-8THC were eliminated faster out of the cerebral cortex than delta 8THC. They had the most high levels 11-OH and 11-oxo-8-THC found within the cerebral cortex were, however significantly higher (10.64 as well as 4.25 micrograms/g, respectively) that Delta 8THC (3.48 micrograms per gram) at 0.5 minutes following the injection (10 mg/kg). The results indicate that 11-OH- and 11oxo-8-THC are more readily distributed in the brain the blood in rodents than delta 8THC.   This may be the reason for the more potent pharmacological actions of these metabolites that have been reported previously. It was intriguing to note that a higher amount of 11-OH delta 8THC (3.27 micrograms/g) was observed in the brain in comparison to liver(0.74 micrograms/g) as well as blood (0.29 micrograms/ml) within 15 minutes following the injection
